Sam Heeremans is a 24 year old financial services professional living and working in London and holds a Bsc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics.

He works predominantly in oil pastel and charcoal, building figurative scenes of everyday urban life with a raw, expressive hand. The figures draw on elements of German Expressionism, yet subjects are distinctly contemporary. Heeremans keeps a travel sketchbook of freehand drawings made on location: dense, assured studies of streets, landscapes and people that capture a place in a single sitting.
